Ville Valo announces solo album and 2023 tour

Just a day after teasing a new single, former HIM frontman Ville Valo has announced his debut solo album, Black Neonscheduled for release in early 2023.

Speaking of the new album, Valo said, “As fun as funeral rites are for HIM, it took me more than a few moons to lick my wounds in the shadow of the Heartagram and find an excuse to scratch and hum again. Eventually I decided to put my beloved black dog on a leash and we started howling together instead of barking one after another. This is how ‘Loveleting’ was born.

He continues, “Artistically speaking, the main difference between HIM and VV is the extra line in the Heartagram, but what an exquisite line! It’s MOMS AND DADDS dressed as METALLICA on their way to a Halloween party at Studio 54, and now who wouldn’t want to witness it? »

“Loveleting”, the first single from the upcoming album, is out this Friday.

The Finnish singer has also announced a 2023 US tour, which will kick off April 1 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and end My 8th in New York. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 15 at 10 a.m. local time. Check out all the dates below.
