The franchise prepared to screen its first two episodes at fan events around the world on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, two days before making its streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video.

Cinemark has apparently created a page for the one-night-only event, with a disclaimer stating that tickets for the show will be available beginning Monday, August 22, 2022 at 9:00 AM PT. The reservation also comes with a $10 snack voucher. The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power event is only available to Cinemark Movie Rewards members. The movie chain’s two-tier loyalty program includes a free subscription option. Outside of the US and Canada, Amazon will also stream the series to locations in the UK, Ireland, Argentina, Colombia, Australia, and New Zealand. Reports indicate that the fan event will take place in approximately 200 locations around the world.
