The Robert Cray The Orchestral Concert is a spring benefit event presented by Solvang Theaterfest to benefit the Solvang Festival Theater Outdoor Maintenance Fund.
Cray, a Santa Ynez Valley resident with his wife Sue Turner, has over 20 albums to his name, featuring a combination of blues, soul and R&B. Her latest album, “That’s What I Heard”, is due out on February 28th.

Solvang Festival Theater 45 Years Celebration
Dated August 1, 1974: With streamers and flags fluttering in the wind, the Solvang Theaterfest celebrated a Rejsegilde last Friday just six hours after the stage was sunk as workers frantically worked to complete the outdoor installation on time for the opening night of the gala next Wednesday. .
The Danish dancers threw the still wet cement, followed by the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts choir of “Brigadoon”. The opening night will have a performance of “Once Upon a Mattress”. Tickets are available at the box office, 1644 Copenhagen Drive, Solvang.
