Alex Radus Band and Pyrenesia will present original music that mixes genres at the Hopewell Theater on December 9

(HOPEWELL, NJ) — Regional favorites, Alex Radus Group and Pyreneeswill present an eclectic mix of original music at the Hopewell Theater Friday, December 9 at 8:00 p.m.

Radus is known as a “sensual crooner” (city ​​paper) and “master guitarist” (Mail News), but his songwriting takes center stage, combining whimsical and poignant storytelling with a genre-bending mix of Americana, swing, blues, folk and more. More recently, Radus released a new album, Tributaries, at Zoellner Arts Center and performed with John Gorka at Godfrey Daniels. Radus has toured the country extensively and has won critical acclaim for his compositions, recordings and performances. His music has been featured on radio, television and film, including Adolescencedirected by Ashley Avis (black beauty).

Pyrenees is an acoustic swing quartet founded on the banks of the Delaware River, combining original compositions and singer-songwriter melodies with the tradition of Django Reinhardt-inspired gypsy jazz. They performed at some of the best venues in the area and their album “Off-Beat Symphony” was named one of the top ten albums of 2019 by NJ Spotlight. Prolific composers and performers, Pyrenesia released a follow-up EP “On and On” in 2021 and continues to deliver experiences of stomping, dress whirling and clapping to uplift and transport listeners into a musical landscape as vast as the Pyrenees the mountains are high.
